a painting about a man freezing on 8th street. his name is “c-sharp”, clarence sharp, and he was a friend of mine.

it's 1983 and he's playing christmas carols without a coat so that everybody can see he's wearing a brand new secondhand suit and tie. his money hat is on the ground in front of him. i painted the hat out, cause he has no awareness of it. all he's aware of is the air blowing through his lips and the sound blowing around in the wind.
